In Loving Memory of Our Leader and Founder

On December 3, 1973, Jim Kadubek opened the doors to The Welding Center Inc. for the first time. Through hard work and dedication, the company grew. Originally located at 7820 S. Oakley Ave. in Chicago, the modest 3000 square foot facility served as home for 22 years. With continued growth and a commitment from his family to join the company, The Welding Center relocated to 7400 S. Central Ave. in Bedford Park. A much larger 15,000 square foot facility has been home since March of 1995.

In 1996, a cylinder filling facility was added to accommodate the growth in cylinder gases. Little did Jim know that on that December day in 1973 he not only unlocked the doors to The Welding Center, he unlocked the doors to his dreams.

In his 27 years with the company Jim touched so many lives. Never has one met a more honest, kind and caring person. He is missed by all…but remains forever in our hearts.

The Welding Center remains a family owned business run by his wife, son and daughter.
